The Flying Cats

Line-up

The Flying Cats band was born as a Trio with one added female vocalist so it had two vocalists one male vocalist and one female vocalist.
The quartet is the line up used from 2005 to 2008.
Since 2009 The Flying Cats turned into a perfect Trio but are still available both as a trio or as quartet if you want.
The Trio is made of
one Lady musician and two Gentleman musicians.
The Quartet is made of two Ladies musicians and two Gentleman musicians.
The Flying Cats were the first European Rockabilly band with an incredible female drummer.

The Flying Cats are a true band with some genius to spend, not a 'great balls of nothing' revival band or just a common cover band... ok?
We didn't even start as a cover band but as a band with an original repertorie who also like to play some historical hits in the live acts.
To be even more precise... we have dozens of originals and from the very beginning we could perfectly play only originals if we just wanted.

Nowadays the public, who would like to listen at a good '50 style show, gets often frustrated by hearing imitators who wanna rock like Elvis.
On the other side a number of bands pushed their sound and everything else to the point to betray the philosophy of rock and roll
that always had a positive and ironical approach to life. Those are the two useless opposite poles of rockabilly.

What we have been doing trough the years and we will be doing in the future, is proposing our Rock And Roll vision, giving an honest contibution to the Rockabilly evolution, basically respecting the style and the language of Rock and Roll and refusing all sorts of integralism.
We think that saying a new word this way is not the easiest way to make rock and roll, it is definately difficoult and bold.
So if you wanna know how we sound we can say we are totally vintage and near to Blues and Swing just the way Chuck and Bill were... if you remember... we are near to boogie woogie Like Jerry Lee and Fats, we are even near to same crazy cartoon attitude... but sorry no we aren't near to punkabilly, psychobully, metalbelly, and other amenities ok?

If you are looking for a serious band with a stunning original repertoire and a cool sound then the Flying Cats are what you need.
We are writing a new rockabilly page in the whole story. Stay with us!

The Flying Cats are also available as a trio or quartet as you prefer.
