Sane
and fresh rock
and roll band, for hot and funny musical nights: this group makes you
move your legs! But it is absolutely different from any obvious rockabilly band
you may have heard till now! For an amount of topics:
personality, style, repertoire, sound. The band melts talented musicians with different backgrounds but all with a true passion for real rock and roll; the result is a quite unique cocktail of energy and musical sensibility. The band propose a catching mix of high quality originals and some covers from minor musicians as Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis... that's right! The Flying Cats deliver a personal vintage, clean and neat sound to your ears, no distortion admitted. A sound able to catch up public of all ages. The band performs (rigorously live) in the best Theaters, Venues, Pubs, Square concerts (incredible events that probably don't happen in the young USA where squares are missing...) An interesting peculiarity of this band - beyond the most striking original repertoire in the world - is the rare capability to change the expressive tone. Some songs are played with the drum brushes (as in the style of early rockabilly by Bill Haley and Elvis). The style varies from pure rockabilly to swing or a bit of blues (fifties style too) It is impossible to get annoyed... ! No imitation, no clichès, just the most intriguing rockabilly band of the solar system. In the quartet is not to forget the presence of two quality voices (a male voice and a female voice) adding harmony to a really incredible band far away from rock and roll stereotypes. If you ever thought great rockabilly songwriters were all from the past, then you have to listen to some of these songs. Last but not least this is the first rockabilly band with an incredible girl drummer. You won't believe to your ears! |
